WNBA QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

What is WNBA Trivia Quiz?

WNBA Trivia Quiz is a free five-question basketball knowledge game focused entirely on the women’s league. Timed rounds mix players, teams, records, awards, league history and championships.

PLAYOFF FORMAT EXAMPLE · NOT A SCORED QUESTION

Was the 1997 WNBA championship decided by one game or a series?

Answer: one championship game. The official 1997 WNBA playoff archive lists a single final on 30 August, with the matchup recorded as 1–0.

How to read it: The year limits the answer. Do not apply a later playoff format to a historical question; a championship game and a multi-game series are different things.

ANSWERS AND SCORING

How does a WNBA trivia round work?

Each round has five questions and four choices per question. You get 15 seconds to answer; correct answers earn 100 points plus 5 per second remaining, while wrong or expired answers earn zero. Brief feedback reveals the answer and note before the round advances automatically.

Why do WNBA questions use older franchise names?

Historical questions use the team name associated with the season in the prompt, such as Tulsa Shock. Do not replace that with a current roster or franchise label. The separate WNBA question pack is dated 2 September 2026 and stores official WNBA source URLs, notes and verification dates, not live updates.

Does reviewing WNBA misses change my round score?

No. Review missed becomes available after a round with missed questions. Review is untimed practice: answer at your pace, then select Next. The original saved score stays unchanged.

What happens if I use +5 sec or Double Down?

Each power-up can be used once per round before answering. The extra five seconds can increase the remaining-time bonus; armed Double Down doubles your next correct score. A wrong answer or timeout earns zero and clears Double Down.
