PLAYBASKET / PRIVACY

Clear rules
for a no-account game site.

This policy explains what PlayBasket stores locally, which technical information is processed when the site is delivered, what analytics are used and what happens when you choose to report a data issue or email support.

01

No account required

PlayBasket does not require an email address, password, social login or account to play. If you choose to post a ranked Daily score, the browser creates a random anonymous player ID and you choose a public nickname.

The nickname, score, game, puzzle date and ranking are public. The anonymous player ID keeps submissions separate but is not displayed on the leaderboard.

02

Local saves and optional posting

Progress, streaks, preferences and career saves remain in browser storage where a game supports persistence. Your anonymous player ID and nickname are also remembered locally.

Only when you choose “Post score” or “Submit career” is a result sent to the leaderboard service. Playing, finishing or sharing a game does not require leaderboard or Career Hall of Fame participation.

03

Analytics and events

PlayBasket loads Google Analytics 4 to understand how pages and games are used, such as page visits, navigation and selected game events. Google may process technical information such as browser, device, approximate region and online identifiers under its own terms and policies.

PlayBasket does not use analytics to create a named player profile, and we do not sell game saves or personal information.

04

Issue reports are deliberate

A wrong answer is not automatically sent anywhere. When you explicitly choose “Report data issue,” the relevant puzzle reference, clue or cell and player record identifier may be sent to a separate operational log so the data can be reviewed.

The current report flow does not ask for your name, email address or a free-text message. Do not include personal information in a report.

05

Leaderboard and hosting data

Posted leaderboard records store the public nickname, anonymous player ID, game and puzzle identifiers, score, completion time and game-specific tie-break values. Optional Career Hall of Fame records also store league, Legacy Points, championships, MVPs, major awards, All-Star selections, career length, legacy tier and compatible rules/scoring/simulation versions. The leaderboard service does not ask for an email address or password. Results and dates are retained to calculate monthly and all-time rankings.

Hosting, CDN and security layers may process standard request information such as an IP address, browser headers, requested URL and timestamp. IP addresses are used for basic request rate limiting and are not stored in the leaderboard database.

06

Your choices

You can play every supported game without posting a score. Clearing site data removes the local anonymous identity but does not automatically delete a score already posted publicly.

For a privacy question, nickname or score removal, or a Career Hall of Fame result request, email [email protected]. For a public result, include the game, puzzle or career date, public nickname and result link if available. See Contact for request guidance. An administrator can remove a score, career result or anonymous profile; sending an email does not automatically change a record.

07

Voluntary support email

Emailing support is optional and separate from playing, in-game data reports and posting public results. Your sender address, email headers, message and any attachments are processed by the email services used to deliver and receive your message. Messages to [email protected] are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to a support mailbox hosted by Google Gmail.

Support correspondence is used to review and respond to the request; the site does not post it publicly or add it to leaderboard entries. Send only the information needed for your question. Do not include passwords, payment details, identity documents or unrelated private information. Contact the same support address with questions about your correspondence.
