NBA CONNECTIONS GAME
NBA Connections is a free basketball puzzle game built around player relationships and basketball knowledge. You receive a 4×4 board containing 16 NBA players. Your goal is to identify four groups of four players that share one intended connection.
Groups can be based on NBA teams, draft classes, awards, colleges, nationalities, positions or other verified career facts. Boards prioritize recognizable players, use source-backed relationships and are checked for one complete intended solution, while believable overlaps keep the daily puzzle challenging.
No. A pair can share a true fact without belonging together in the board’s intended solution. Teaching example: Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson were both drafted in 1996; see the NBA’s historical feature. That illustrates a draft-year connection, not a complete four-player group.
Check all four selected players against one precise connection and consider how the other cards could form the remaining groups. The game accepts its intended four-player sets, not every plausible relationship. This two-player illustration is not a hint or solution for today’s or a future puzzle. Source checked .
Data scope: connections come from a versioned catalogue of career facts, not live roster changes. Puzzle checks cover the intended four-group partition and ambiguous overlaps within that catalogue; they do not claim to cover every possible basketball relationship. See our source policy and report a questionable group with its puzzle date.
You have four mistakes. Each incorrect four-player submission uses one, including repeating the same wrong set. Correct groups lock into place without costing a mistake. The fourth mistake ends the attempt and reveals the remaining groups; selecting cards alone does not spend a mistake.
A shared puzzle is assigned to each UTC date, so everyone plays the same daily board.
No. Shuffle rearranges unsolved cards and clears your current selection; it does not change the groups. Deselect clears the selected cards. Neither restores mistakes or resets a completed attempt.
Boards use a versioned catalogue of source-backed career facts. Validation checks the intended four-group partition and competing complete solutions within that catalogue. It cannot prove that no other basketball relationship exists, and current roster changes do not rewrite a published board.
Select four NBA players that share one connection, then press Submit. Find all four groups before using four mistakes.
